Whether the first, second or third, as long as the jewellery can be placed in the soft lower part of your ear. For second, third or higher placed lobes an anatomy check is useful if you do not want a cartilage piercing or if you do not have an alternative piercing. We pierce exclusively with studs as first insert, because they exert less pressure on the wound and therefore heal more comfortably.
